Cookie Notice in Short

Last updated: October 2026

Fair warning: this will be one of the shortest pages in the notebook. Out & About Marketing does not set cookies, and nothing on the site follows you from page to page or from site to site.

What is stored, and where

When you click either button on the banner at the bottom of the screen, your browser saves that single answer in its local storage, a small area each browser keeps for each website. Its only job is to stop the banner appearing again on every page you open.

That value:

  • stays on your own device;
  • is never sent to us or to anyone else;
  • contains no name, email address or identifier;
  • remains until you clear it yourself.

What is not here

There are no analytics scripts measuring visits, no advertising or retargeting cookies, no embedded social media buttons that load tracking code and no third-party chat tools. Because none of these run, there is nothing extra for you to switch off.

Accept or decline, the difference

Both buttons do the same practical thing: they record your answer and close the banner. Choosing to decline does not hide any article or feature, because no part of the site depends on cookies in the first place.

Clearing your choice

If you want the banner back, clear the stored data for this website in your browser settings. In most browsers you will find this under privacy or site settings, listed as cookies and site data or as website storage. Browsing in a private window has a similar effect, since local storage is discarded when that window closes.

Links that leave the site

Several of our articles point readers towards outside websites. Once you follow one of those links, the other site's own cookie rules apply, and its banner, if it has one, will ask you separately. Our stored banner answer is not shared with it.

Hosting and logs

The servers that deliver our pages may keep short technical logs, as almost every website's servers do. Such logs live on the server side and never touch your browser storage. They are explained in our privacy policy.

If this changes

Should we ever add something that needs a cookie, this page will say what it is and why before it goes live, and the banner will ask you again. Anything unclear about this can go to us via the contact page.
